That is the variant conceived furthest into the future.
gedachte means conceived or designed, and die Variante means the variant. The superlative am zukünftigsten is used adverbially inside the participle phrase; before a noun, a form such as die zukünftigste Variante is more direct.

zukünftig — in future, from now on

As an adverb, zukünftig means “in future” or “from now on” and does not change its form. Do not add an adjective ending when it modifies a verb.
Zukünftig arbeiten wir von zu Hause.
From now on, we will work from home.
arbeiten means work, and von zu Hause means from home. Zukünftig is an adverb and does not take an adjective ending; because it occupies position one, the finite verb arbeiten comes directly after it in position two.
Die Regeln gelten zukünftig für alle.
In future, the rules will apply to everyone.
die Regeln means the rules, gelten means apply, and für alle means for everyone. Zukünftig modifies the verb gelten; für takes the accusative, although the phrase has the same form as the nominative plural here.

zuletzt — last, lastly; most recently

Zuletzt can refer to the final person or event in a sequence, or to the most recent time something happened. Do not confuse it with zuerst, which means first.
Wer zuletzt kommt, muss die Tür schließen.
Whoever comes last has to close the door.
wer means whoever, kommen means to come, and die Tür schließen means to close the door. Zuletzt is an adverb and can stand directly after the subject; muss is in position two in the main clause, while schließen goes to the end after the modal verb.
Ich habe ihn zuletzt im Mai gesehen.
I last saw him in May.
ihn means him, im Mai means in May, and gesehen means seen. Zuletzt means on the most recent occasion here; ihn is accusative because sehen takes a direct object, and gesehen stands at the end in the perfect.

zwischendurch — in between, from time to time

Zwischendurch often describes a short activity during a longer one, such as eating or taking a break while working. It does not change form and can usually move to different positions in the sentence.
Ich arbeite den ganzen Tag und esse zwischendurch einen Apfel.
I work all day and have an apple in between.
den ganzen Tag means “all day”, and einen Apfel means “an apple”. Zwischendurch is an adverb and can stand in the middle field; einen Apfel is accusative because essen takes a direct object.
Wir machen zwischendurch eine kurze Pause.
We take a short break in between.
machen means “make/take”, and eine kurze Pause means “a short break”. Zwischendurch gives the time of the action; eine kurze Pause is accusative because machen takes it as its object.
